The Legislative session for 2012 has started.

The following animal-related bills have been introduced:

LB64 Change provisions relating to wildlife in captivity [This one was introduced in 2011 and is still in committe]
LB721 Redefine the term police animal
LB856 Change provisions relating to reporting of cruelty to animals and create the offense of obtaining employment at an animal facility with intent to disrupt operations
LB915 Change provisions relating to animal cruelty and create the offense of obtaining employment at an animal facility with intent to disrupt operations
LB927 Authorize cattle brands as official identification as prescribed
LB928 Provide for mountain lion hunting permits
LB2021 Change provisions relating to actions involving motor vehicle collisions with domestic animals
LB1081 Provide for free antlerless deer hunting permits for farmers as prescribed
LB1120 Limit liability for bucking bull activities
LB1163 Provide for a deer donation program and for redistribution of deer permit fees
