For More Information...

Consumerfreedom.com
A resource for facts about some of the extremist animal rights groups, who are the most activist proponents of exotic cat (and other animal) bans across the country.

Exoticcatz.com
An excellent resource for all kinds of information about living with an exotic cat. From legalities, to husbandry, training, equipment and housing, to veterinary care; this website will give you information about pretty-much all aspects of having an exotic cat as a pet. Much of the information is written by a Serval owner, about living with a Serval. It's the best site there is if you're looking for the truth about owning an exotic cat--both the good and the bad.

Felineconservation.org
The Feline Conservation Federation's website. Another good resource for information about living with exotic cats. The FCF is a group of people who own assorted sizes and species of exotic cats, from the small Geoffroy's cat to snow leopards, tigers, and lions. Several times each year they offer an Exotic Feline Husbandry Course in different parts of the country. The next course is planned for July 28, 2010 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. You do not have to currently own any kind of cat to join or take the course.

ALSO...
When you join the FCF, you automatically get a subscription to the FCF Journal--a magazine published every other month that won the 2007 Cat Writers' Association Muse Medallion. One of the judges commented about the magazine: "The FCF Journal is an incredibly well put together publication. The content just blows me away."

HybridLaw.com
This website attempts to keep track of the laws on hybrid cat breeds in all the states.

Naiaonline.org
The National Animal Interest Alliance is an association of business, agricultural, scientific, and recreational interests dedicated to promoting animal welfare, supporting responsible animal use and strengthening the bond between humans and animals.

Rexano.org
A website whose focus is on the politics of protecting our right to own exotic animals, and expose the true agendas of animal rights groups.

Smallcats.org
The Small Cat Conservation Alliance (SCCA) is trying to learn about all the small cats and their conservation needs: very little is even known about many of them.

Servals.org
The Serval Conservation Organization (TSCO) is a group of people working to conserve all the small cats in the wild (but with special emphasis on the serval)

Wildfelids.org
The Wild Felid Advocacy Center's mission is:
"providing homes for displaced wild felines, conservation of all wild felines in their natural environment and education relating to all species of wild cats - from the majestic Tiger to the tiny Sand Cat and all those in between."

WalkOnTheWildside.org
Walk on the Wildside is a sanctuary that specializes in the small cats. They have some very good information, and are a must-read before you decide to get any small exotic cat.

Other Resources...

Do you live someplace where servals are already legal, but have a problem with your serval and need some advice?
Then . If she doesn't know, she may be able to find out for you. She also has experience with rehoming servals and getting them situated into new surroundings. Chaos (the serval in the picture sitting at the computer) is a good example--it took about a year for her to get him to trust her after getting him from his previous owner. So successful rehoming has been done; but it takes a long time, a special person, and doing everything just right--and even then there's never any guarantee how things will turn out. So DO NOT get a serval or any other exotic cat unless you are absolutely committed to take care of it for life.

ExoticCatBreeds
Serval_and_Caracal_Advocate
Servals
These are Yahoo e-list groups of serval owners, breeders, and enthusiasts. It's a very good way to learn about these small exotic cats before you decide to get one. There are also other Yahoo e-lists dedicated to other species (or groups of species), but these are some that I'm familiar with, and have personally found very informative.
